Inspired by the weekly gig I’ve have for the past six years, I’ve recently gotten back into writing for big band. The Cecil’s Big Band, directed by Mike Lee, continues to expand it’s book, and I’m happy to be adding to it. Hope you enjoy....

Fronted by Montclair tenor saxophonist, composer, and arranger Mike Lee, the 17-piece band has a vibrant modern approach that mixes hard-swinging, lyrical, and angular passages with open-minded improvisations....
Another winner was altoist Craig Yaremko's swinging "Two Kings," which had a hearty melody in the theme, a vital sax soli, and later a huge all-band shout chorus. Rewarding solos came via Karn, with his beaming sound, a spiffy Yaremko on soprano saxophone, and like-minded Nathan Eklund on trumpet....”
